The Audiology and Speech Pathology Department at Al-Ahliyya Amman University hosts Dr. Stephen Bell

As part of the Social Committee and Students Activities, the Department of Audiology and Speech Pathology in the Faculty of Allied Medical Sciences at Al-Ahliyya Amman University hosted Dr. Stephen Bell from the University of Southampton in the United States of America on Tuesday 8/11/2022. Dr. Stephen was invited to hold a lecture to discuss a very important topic under the title “Balance Assessment, Coin Tosses and Meniere’s Disease”.The lecture was attended by the Dean of the Allied Medical Sciences Faculty, Prof. Mohammad Al-Tanani, academic members, Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees students specializing in the field of audiology and speech pathology. During a Q&A session, the students discussed different topics in their field of study with Dr. Stephen, whereas for his part, Dr. Fadi Al-Swaiti, Head of the Audiology and Speech Pathology Department stated that Dr. Bell is an associate professor and registered clinical scientist and coordinator of the MA degree programs of Audiology at the University of Southampton. His researchers are mainly in the area of measuring the brain’s response to sound, where he has also received the Deputy Ministers’ Award for Teaching for being part of the team that helped in establishing a BA degree in Audiology at the University of Southampton.
