The Association of Higher Education Institutions Accreditation and Quality Assurance Grants the AAU the Quality Assurance Certificate

The Association of Higher Education Institutions Accreditation and Quality Assurance granted the AAU the Quality Assurance Certificate at the level of the University. A special Ceremony for handing the AAU the Certificate of Quality Assurance was held on 29/11/2017 under the patronage of Prof. Bashir Al-Zoubi, the Chairman of the Association Council in the headquarter of the Association in Al-Jubaiha, Amman. The celebration was attended by many members of the Association Council, the AAU President, Prof. Sadeq Hamed, Mr. Iyad Shaaban, the AAU Assistant to the President for Administrative and Quality Assurance Affairs and Mrs Enas Al-Hourani, the Director of the Department of Public and International Relations in addition to the AAU Media Advisor, Mr. Ahmad Al-Anbousi. During this event, Prof. Al-Zoubi, the Chairman of the Accreditation Council highlighted the importance of this great achievement, since the AAU is considered a leading national institution in the Private Jordanian Higher Education. He also added that such an achievement would contribute in gaining the International Quality Assurance Certificate which in turn helps universities in the Jordanian and International Classifications of Universities. It also helps in creating competitions among Jordanian universities and rectifying any defects in the university environment and its study plans. Prof. Al-Zoubi also confirmed that this achievement is positively reflected in the Higher Education Sector in our beloved homeland under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II. In his turn, the AAU President, Prof. Sadeq Hamed thanked the Chairman and the members of the Council for their exerted efforts in raising the Higher Education level and in introducing the Quality Assurance System as a basic component in the Jordanian Education Sector which positively reflects the improvement of the standard of educational outcomes. Prof. Sadeq also noted that the AAU’s achievement is based on advanced planning and the need for an integrated administrative system to ensure quality at the level of the University. He stressed that quality is considered the culture and values of the institution which focus on team spirit, belonging and communication skills. Mr. Iyad Shabaan, the AAU Assistant to the President for Administrative and Quality Assurance Affairs, confirmed that quality is the AAU’s strategic choice that aims to improve the academic and administrative process and to achieve distinguished standards locally, regionally and internationally.
