The AAU Students of the Faculty of Arts & Sciences Engaged in A Field Visit
Under the supervision of Dr. Anan Abu Mariam, AAU students of the Special Education and Psychology Departments visited the Holy Land Institute for Deaf and the Jubilee Institute for Jordanian Gifted Students on Tuesday, 26/3/2019. Ms. Iman Dababneh, the School Director of the Holy Land Institute for Deaf, received the AAU students. The Director presented a summary about the Institute since its establishment and the students were briefed on the school and its facilities. They also took a round in its elementary and secondary classes and were acquainted with the teaching aids and instruments used for the deaf. Finally, they visited the exhibition of the professional tools, the speech & language laboratory and the deaf division. After that, the students visited the Jubilee School where they were received at the school theater to watch a video about the school, its achievements, admission requirements, tests and strategies for selecting and evaluating students’ admission. Then, AAU students met with students from the Jubilee School and talked about their projects, scientific achievements and aspirations. AAU students also took a round in the School facilities to be acquainted with its divisions, centers and classes. This visit is launched within the AAU and the Faculty of Arts & Sciences interests in acquainting students with scientific experience and theoretical knowledge as well.
