The AAU School of Business Hosts A Lecture Titled “Electronic Payment and Digital Currency”
The AAU School of Business hosted a lecture titled “Electronic Payment and Digital Currency”. This lecture which took place on Tuesday 20/3/2018, was delivered by Mrs. Maha Al-Bahu, the Executive Director of the Department of Payment Systems and the Local Banking Process and Financial Inclusion in the Central Bank of Jordan. The lecture was attended by the Faculty students of the Department of Finance & Banking and the Electronic Business & Trade. Mrs. Al-Bahu talked about the continuous increase in the use of electronic payment media. She also added that the Central Bank is inclined to decrease the use of checks and paper currency in the future’s dealings and to replace it by the electronic payment media. As a token of appreciation for Mrs. Al-Bahu, the Dean of the School of Business, Prof. Michale Sweidan handed her the AAU’s shield. After this lecture, a meeting was held that included Mrs. Al-Bahu, members of the academic and administrative staffs and the Dean of the Faculty. In this meeting, the participants discussed means of establishing cooperation between the AAU and the Central Bank.
