The AAU Quality Assurance Committee of the Faculty of Pharmacy & Medical Sciences Organizes the Ninth Workshop of the Series Related to Quality Assurance for Educational Institutions (7/11/2018)

The AAU Quality Assurance Committee of the Faculty of Pharmacy & Medical Sciences concluded the workshop series related to quality assurance of educational institutions. This workshop which is concerned with the eighth criterion (Management Quality Assurance) was presented by Dr. Rana Abu Huwaij, Vice Dean for Accreditation and Quality. In her presentation, Dr. Rana explained the four tributaries on which the criterion is based namely leadership support, the availability of material, financial and human resources to spread the culture of quality, the work scope of the quality assurance and the performance indicators. This workshop focused on the importance of participation of all in the improvement processes through the committees’ preparation of the Faculty annual executive plan which emanates from the strategic plan of the University. It also presented the committees role in the evaluation of inputs, processes and outputs of the academic programs through providing periodic and non-periodic reports and showing the results of opinion polls, training examinations and the University Proficiency Exam. This is done to fulfill the Faculty vision where the AAU Faculty of Pharmacy and Medical Sciences will be the first choice for students wishing to study medical sciences because of the distinction of its students, its faculty members and academic programs. The Faculty committees are calling upon all to participate in achieving the golden level of the Quality Assurance Certificate. At the end of the workshop, the Vice Dean of Academic Affairs Dr. Noman Khalaf handed certificates of appreciation to the members of the committees and thanked them for their participation, their constructive efforts and their effective contribution in addition to their outstanding achievements in building the quality management system in the Faculty.
