The AAU President Meets with the Syrian Students

The AAU Department of Public and International Relations in cooperation with the Deanship of Student Affairs organized an open meeting with the Syrian Students. This meeting is part of the AAU plan of communicating with different communities in the University to strengthen the relations of affection and cooperation, to be familiar with students’ academic and administrative inquiries and suggestions and to discuss with the students the best services. During the meeting, a number of top Syrian students from different faculties were honored. This meeting which was attended by the President of the University, Prof. Sadeq Hamed and the Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Majed Uasili, was dominated by an atmosphere of affection and kindness. The AAU President talked about the high level of discipline, the great responsibility level and the academic excellence that the University Syrian students enjoy. He also noted the challenges that face them and commended their abilities in overcoming them. Finally, he mentioned the new academic specializations offered in the University for the BA and MA degrees.The Dean of Student Affairs valued the remarkable participation of the Syrian students in the various extracurricular activities and programs especially their active participation in joining student clubs and initiating sport activities that reflect their concern in developing their capabilities and talents. At the end of the meeting, the representatives of the Syrian student body handed the AAU President and the Department of Public and International Relations shields of appreciation. In his turn, the AAU President handed the top Syrian students certificates of appreciation.
