The AAU Participates in the Fourth European Arab Conference for Higher Education in Morocco
Prof. Sadeq Hamed, the President of the AAU has participated in the fourth European Arab conference for higher education which was held in May at Muhammad the Fifth University. The conference was organized by the Union of Arab Universities in cooperation with the Union of European Universities and University of Barcelona. The conference which included about 200 university presidents discussed aspects of cooperation between Arab and European universities specially in conducting scientific research and innovation. The three key-note speakers who delivered speeches in the conference were professors Sultan Abu-Eraby Al-Udwan, the Secretary General of the Union of Arab Universities; the State Secretary of the Moroccan Higher Education and Scientific Research, Khalid Al-Samadi and the Director of International Cooperation in the Union of European Universities Mr. Michael Jubail. The conference which lasted three days discussed scientific research; society; uplifting the international challenges; results of scientific research; digitalization and the new horizons of cooperation between the Arabs and Europeans in education and research. It is worth mentioning that the following Jordanian universities have participated in the conference: University of Science and Technology, Al-Balqa Applied University, Al-Ahliyya Amman University, Al-Zarqa University, Petra University, Philadelphia University, Ajloon National University, Al-Zaytoonah University, Al-Israa University and Al-Aqaba University for Technology and Applied Sciences.
