The AAU Organizes Al-Dahia Marathon under the Slogan “No For Smoking”

Under the slogan “No for Smoking”, the Deanship of Student Affairs in the AAU organized the activities of Al-Dahia Marathon for students and members of the academic and administrative staffs on Tuesday, 25/4/2017. The marathon was set for a distance of four km. The marathon started from Ein Al-Basha Area and ended in the Arena Complex. The marathon was done under the patronage of Prof. Suliman Al-Lozi and on the behalf of the University President and in the presence of the Assistant president for the Administrative and Quality Affairs, Dr. Eyad Shaban, the Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. majed Ausili and the Director of the Arena Complex Mr. Nader Sweidan. The marathon took place with the participation of more than one hundred students and employees. This event was arranged within the framework of the University slogan health and healthy mission to fight the smoking scourge and to spread the concept of sport for all and the culture of practicing sports for the University staffs which the University has a great interest in.At the end of the marathon, the Acting President honored the winners of the first ranks.The results were as follows: - The male students’ marathon: Fathi Saleh (the Faculty of Architecture and Design); Ziad Heeh, Salem Ameen and Muhammad Munther Al-Qadi (the Faculty of Nursing); Saed Al-Zubi (the School of Business) and Musa Al-Ajouri (the Faculty of Engineering)- The female students’ marathon: Marah Al-Zubi, Razan Amayreh and Rola Wreekat (the School of Business); Maram Qasas and Fatima Jaber Karam (the Faculty of Pharmacy) and Samah Amer (the Faculty of Arts and Sciences).- The male employees’ marathon: Murad Abu-Hlaiel (General Supplies); Muhammad Shafeeq and Kamel Majed (the Department of Finance); Muneer Shawqi (the Department of Admission and Registration); Majdi Al-dabas, Yazan Yagy and Yahia Haimour (the Department of Finance); Hashem Al-Maitah, Adam Al-Anati and Fadi Al-Nouri (the Arena Complex).- The female employees’ marathon: sara Al-Luzi (the Department of Admission and Registration); Dania Al-Othman (the Faculty of Engineering); Lana Marwan (the Department of Admission and Registration); Fatima Al-Neimat and Razan Erikat (the Faculty of Engineering); Janet Abu-Seir and Jehan Al-Horani (the Department of Admission and Registration); Halah Al-Saheb (the Deanship of Student Affairs); Rabea Al-Shyab and Rasha Qamwa (the Department of Admission and Registration).
