The AAU Holds A Workshop Titled “Programming and Installing Hearing Aids”

The AAU Department of Hearing and Speech of the faculty of Pharmacy and Medical Sciences in cooperation with the International Weidex Company held a workshop titled “Programming and Installing Hearing Aids”. The workshop which was introduced by Dr. Fadi Nejem took place on Thursday, 18/5/2017. The workshop aimed to polish and sharpen the students’ skills concerning the procedures of installing hearing aids and to follow up the status of those who suffered from hearing impairment. Moreover, Dr. Nejem talked about the latest and newest development in the hearing aids. He also trained students on how to choose, program and calibrate the suitable hearing aids for each patient in accordance with the newest recommendations in the field. Finally he showed the students how to guide the patients; how to use the methods of measuring the competency of the hearing aids and how to enhance these methods in a way that meets the needs of the patients.
