The AAU Faculty of Pharmacy Organizes An Open Meeting that Brings together the Dean and the Students of the Faculty
On the occasion of the beginning of the first semester 2019-2020, the AAU Faculty of Pharmacy organized an open meeting that brought together the Dean of the Faculty, Mr. Muhammad Tanani, and the second, third, fourth and fifth year students. The meeting which took place on Thursday, 7/11/2019 was attended by the Deputy Dean and the Heads of Departments. At the beginning of the meeting, Prof. Tatani welcomed students and talked about activating a plan to develop the faculty by introducing practical exams per semester. He also focused on the importance of communicating with academic advisors, department heads and dean at any time and without appointment, in order to effectuate the policy of the open door.He also talked about offering scholarships for students who want to pursue their education abroad and establishing a pharmaceutical and diagnostic research center at the AAU Faculty of Pharmacy. The Chairman of the Academic Advising Committee, Dr. Noman Khalaf, the Deputy Dean, explained the general regulations and general rules related to registration according to the instructions for granting the Bachelor degree, commitment to attending lectures, recording absence, exam and the University evaluation system.Dr. Naeem Al-Shaalan, the Head of the Department of Pharmaceutics & Technology, elaborated on the study plan for the Faculty of Pharmacy. He also talked about assigning 10 hours of service for the community service system which is a compulsory requirement for graduation. He dealt with the proficiency system and various courses that were held during the academic year. Dr. Naeem focused on the importance of following up the bulletin boards distributed on the different floors of the faculty regarding exam schedules, important academic matters and co-curricular activities. Meanwhile, Dr. Iman Khalil, the Chairwoman of the Graduate Follow-up Committee, introduced the committee, its tasks and its work mechanism. At the end of the meeting, discussion and dialogue took place with students who inquired about registration and field training of the different departments. Students also commended the cooperation of the administrative and academic members during the registration period.
