The AAU Faculty of Pharmacy Hosts, Dr. Wisam Abu Khalaf, the Head of the Health Department in the Greater Amman Municipality

The AAU Faculty of Pharmacy Hosts Dr. Wisam Abu Khalaf, the Head of the Health Department in the Greater Amman Municipality. She delivered a lecture titled “Management of Biomedical Waste & Its Effects on Reserves & Biodiversity”. This lecture took place on Thursday, 18/4/2019 in the School of Business Theater.At the beginning of this lecture, Dr. Wisam explained different elements of the environment and their impact on human health. Then, she discussed the different types of medical waste and the risks of incorrect disposal methods in the environment and human health and talked about the proper ways to get rid of it. Dr. Wisam also mentioned several health cases which she encountered as a result of unhealthy practices, whether related to household and health waste or dealing with different environmental elements such as animals.
