The AAU Faculty of Nursing Organizes A Workshop Titled “Competency-Based Nursing Education”

The AAU Faculty of Nursing organized a workshop titled Competency-Based Nursing Education for members of the academic & administrative staff on Monday, 12/10/2020. At the beginning of the workshop, Dr. Imad Al-Fayoumi, the Chairman of the National Committee for Competency-Based Nursing Education, talked about the national project for developing competency-based nursing education, its importance and positive results which will contribute to the development of the nursing profession and will raise the level of health care provided to the Jordanian society in general. During this workshop, many challenges which may face the implementation of this plan were discussed and a number of proposed solutions were presented to overcome these challenges. The Dean of the AAU Faculty of Nursing, Prof. Muntaha Gharaibeh, explained the importance of developing the nursing profession and raising the level of graduates to be qualified and able to provide comprehensive nursing care and to face the challenges resulting from rapid changes in the health system.This workshop is in line with the members of the academic & administrative staff development program in the faculty, which contributes to the exchange of experiences and continuous professional development.
