The AAU Faculty of Engineering Holds An Enlightenment Day for the New Students

Prof. Bassam Al-Mahasnah, the Dean of the AAU Faculty of Engineering met the new students of the academic year 2020-2021. This enlightenment meeting which was held on the Microsoft Teams platform took place on Friday 20/11/2020. During this meeting, which was attended by the faculty members, the Dean delivered a welcoming speech to the new students and talked about the achievements of the Faculty in recent years.The activities of this day included a speech by Dr. Jamal Al-Nabulsi, the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs and Accreditation & Quality Affairs, where he talked about the importance of academic advising and the need of students to adhere to the study plan. Engineer Munira Al-Tayeb, the Assistant Dean for Field Training Affairs, delivered a speech whereby she talked about field training instructions and procedures.During this meeting, an introductory video about the University was displayed through which new students were introduced to the AAU facilities and faculties. Another introductory video about the Faculty of Engineering was presented. The video introduced the five academic departments, classrooms and laboratories. Then, a discussion session was held with the students, during which their various inquiries were answered. At the end of this event, an electronic bag which includes all the guidance documents they need was distributed to the students.
