The AAU Faculty of Arts & Sciences Visits the National Center for Mental Health

The AAU Faculty of Arts & Sciences organized a field visit to the National Center for Mental Health on Wednesday, 18/12/2019. This visit came in compliance with the vision and mission of the Faculty of Arts, which always seeks to distinguish its academic programs, provide its students with specialized skills and develop their practical experiences in addition to exchanging knowledge between them and the specialized institutions. Under the supervision of Dr. Fidaa Abu Al-Khair, the Head of the Department of Psychology and Dr. Sulaiman Al-Nuaimi, a faculty member in the department, fifty-one students of the Department of Psychology enrolled in the “Clinical Psychology” and the “Abnormal psychology” Courses participated in this event. It is worth mentioning that the aims of this visit included acquainting students with the psychological services provided in the Center along with developing their practical and scientific experiences to understand human behavior and the nature of mental and psychological disorders in addition to upgrading students' knowledge and skills to understand mental illnesses and training them to deal with them.
