The AAU Faculty of Arts& Sciences Honors the Top Students Enrolled in the Bachelor and Master Programs

The AAU Faculty of Arts & Sciences held an honoring ceremony for the top students enrolled in the Bachelor and Master programs of the specializations offered in the Faculty. This event took place on Monday, 4/3/2019 in the Mahmud Darweish Theater. The event was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Arts & Sciences, the Deputy Dean for Administrative Affairs, the Deputy Dean for Accreditation and Quality Affairs, the Heads of Departments, members of the academic & administrative staffs and students and their families. The ceremony began with the Royal Anthem and reciting verses from the Holy Quran. After that, Dr. Joseph Bawalsa, delivered a speech where he welcomed the audience and expressed his happiness with this honoring meeting of the top students for their excellence and success. He also referred to the great relation between professors who provide learning and knowledge and students who receive eagerly what is presented to them and whose achievements and pride are not completed unless they achieve maximum success. And he stressed that this binding relation cannot be found except in the relationship of parents with their sons and daughters. He also called upon students to be the wind and the sea to steer their ship as they desire, and told them that they have to strive in their lives to achieve the success they aspire to, in other words “No pain No gain”. Then, Dr. Joseph praised the efforts of the distinguished professors and congratulated the top students and their families.On behalf of the top students, the student Faraj Al-Nawasra of the Department of English Language & Literature delivered a speech in which he talked about how they excelled and succeeded, and thanked his professors who did not hesitate to teach and guide them. Finally, he commended the virtues of parents that led them to achieve success and distinction. Then the Faculty Dean honored the top students and handed them certificates of appreciation and took memorial photos with the top students, heads of departments and faculty members.
