The AAU Faculty of Architecture & Design Hosts A Joint Workshop for the Winning Projects in the “International Architecture Excellence”(Tamayouz) Competition
The AAU Faculty of Architecture & Design, in partnership with the coordination team of the International Architectural Excellence Award “Tamayouz”, hosted a workshop to discuss projects that won the “Tamayouz” Award in its two categories on Sunday 7/1/2020 at the Mahmud Darwish Hall. This workshop started with a speech that welcomed the attendees and distinguished architectural figures, including planners, engineers and academics from world-class universities along with the coordination team that comprised young architects from Jordan, Iraq, Britain and France.It is worth mentioning that the “Tamayouz” Award for Architecture was a creative idea founded by Ahmed Al-Malak the architect and academic member at the British University of Coventry in 2012 and became a professional award for architectural creativity in the Iraqi universities. Then this award expanded to become at the regional and international levels, which earned it a distinguished professional and academic reputation and unprecedented success in terms of the number of participants each year.This event is based on the vision of the University represented by the Faculty of Architecture & Design. It is also in line with the permanent orientations of AAU to foster creativity and innovators and its continuous pursuit of concluding partnerships at the local, regional and international levels.
