The AAU Department of Interior Design Organizes A Meeting with the New Students (13/11/2018)

Under the patronage of the AAU Dean of the Faculty of Architecture & Design, Dr. Rama Al-Rabadi, the students of the Department of Interior Design organized a meeting with the new students on Tuesday, 6/11/2018 at 10:30 am in the Mahmoud Darwish Theater. The meeting included an exhibition of the students' works and productions according to the knowledge areas of the Department and many other activities. The Faculty Dean commenced the meeting with a speech where she welcomed the new students and highlighted the importance of the Department and the nature of its work among the other scientific departments in the Faculty. After that, the Head of the Department, Dr. Ashraf Abdel Hadi welcomed the new students and the audience and presented important topics about the history of the Department and its academic and administrative staffs. He also acquainted the new students with the halls, laboratories, ateliers and workshops in the Department.Instructor, Samar Abu Saleh also explained the guidance and the study plans according to the knowledge areas of the Department and clarified the mechanism of registration for courses and the importance of contacting the academic advisor. The Department hosted Engineer Muhammad Qatani who has experience in the labor market as a model for graduates of the Interior Design Department. The guest talked about his success and his projects as a company manager and a wood factory owner. After that, Engineer Tarek Al-Qarem, who is a faculty member in the Department and one of its graduates, talked about him-self and his achievements in the local and regional labor market in the previous years. The meeting also included a film which explained the Department's activities, students’ projects and community service. At the end of the meeting, the Dean of the Faculty and the Head of the Department handed the top five students in the Department certificates of appreciation.
