The AAU Department of Graphic Design Celebrates Its New Students (12/11/2018)

Under the patronage of Dr. Rama Al-Rabadi, Dean of the AAU Faculty of Architecture and Design, the Department of Graphic Design organized a reception for the new students on Tuesday, 6/11/2018. The ceremony was moderated by Dr. Emran Hasan, the Head of the Department who commenced it with his speech where he welcomed the faculty members and the new students and thanked the Deanship of the Faculty for patronizing this reception. He also presented a short film about the Department of Graphic Design and an introduction where he explained the nature of the specialization and its importance to the labor market. Dr. Emran also clarified the most important skills that students acquire during the studying period in the specialization and the importance of utilizing computer software and its applications in 2D and 3D Graphic Design as well. Moreover, Dr. Mahmoud Attiah presented a mini workshop including a film about animation and the latest in this field. During this workshop, he shed the light on designing cartoon characters, making puppets and using the latest techniques in photography. The reception included a number of activities and concluded by honoring the outstanding students in the Department.
