The AAU Delegation Visits the Sultanate of Oman
In order to promote Jordan as a destination for knowledge seekers and to achieve the AAU’s plan in attracting students, the Chairman of the AAU Board of Directors, Dr. Maher Al-Horani in cooperation with Mrs Daniah Al-Omary established an office for university services in the Sultanate of Oman (Muscat). This office is the first of its kind in the Sultanate. The office receives students and their parents and follows up all necessary documents and certificates from ministries and embassies in Jordan and the Sultanate. In light of this, the AAU participated in the cultural exhibition (Oman Edu Track) which was held in the Sultanate. A number of British, American and Malaysian universities also participated in the exhibition. Dr. Ghaleb Erikat, the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy and Medical Sciences and the Head of Admission and Registration Department met with a number of Omani figures who visited the University pavilion and he explained the services of the University which the Omani Students are provided with. During the visit, Prof. Sadeq Hamed presided over a seminar at the Omani Ministry of Higher Education under the patronage of Waly Bousher Muhanna Al-Ma’oli. In this seminar, Prof. Hamed talked about the level of education in Jordan and gave an introductory presentation regarding the AAU faculties, specializations offered at the Bachelor and Masters Degree levels and the services the AAU provides to students. During his speech, the AAU President talked about the intensive program which is intended to be organized to serve the Omani Masters’ students and those who reside in Jordan.The University received the students and their families in Jordan at the expense of the University and hosted them in the hotels of the Jordan Investment Group who are the AAU owners.
