The AAU Dean of the IT Faculty Meets with the Students Registered during the First Semester of the Academic Year 2018-2019 (13/11/2018)
The AAU Dean of the IT Faculty met with the new students registered in the first semester of the academic year 2018-2019 on Tuesday, 13/11/2018 in the Musa Al-Saket Hall. This meeting was attended by a number of the Faculty academic & administrative staffs and Mr. Marwan Salameh the Director of the AAU Guidance & Special Education Center. At the beginning of the meeting the Dean of the Faculty welcomed the new students and talked about the role of University’s vision and mission of excellence in providing teaching and learning services and conducting scientific research to be the best choice for students. Then, he presented the educational objectives that the Faculty seeks to achieve by adhering to the study plans accurately and stressed the necessity of communicating with the faculty members to obtain guidance and correct information.After that, the Dean presented an overview about the Department of the Faculty, its aspirations and its teaching programs and he offered students some important advices that help them in achieving success in their university education. The most important advices which were emphasized included the importance of commitment to the study and guidance plans; guiding the students to abide by the laws and regulations of the University and the accepted behaviors in lectures and campus. He also stressed the importance of communicating with advisors, academics and heads of departments and the necessity of adhering to the registration and examination dates and following-up bulletin boards and the Faculty and the University electronic sites to be acquainted with the latest developments.Mr. Marwan Salameh also introduced the Guidance & Special Education Center and stressed the importance of communicating with the Center to benefit from its services which assist in addressing any issues or challenges that may encounter students. Moreover, he emphasized the importance of communicating with the Career Guidance and Follow-Up Graduates Office in the AAU Deanship of Student Affairs to inquire about the services offered by the Office such as free training courses, career guidance and partial or full time job opportunities.
