The AAU Dean of the Faculty of Nursing Meets with the New Students (5/11/2018)

The AAU Faculty of Nursing held a meeting with the new students on Sunday 4/11/2018 in the Theater of Al-Hourany E-Learning Center. This meeting was attended by the Dean of the Faculty, the Heads of the Departments and Faculty members. In her speech, the Dean welcomed the new students and clarified the goal of Nursing Program. She shed light on the new curriculum, the Faculty inclination to achieve excellence in its programs and highlighted the importance of students who are the central point of all decisions. She also stressed the importance of guidance and integration as well. The Dean urged students to express their opinions; offer suggestions and take an active role in the learning process. Moreover, she focused on the principles and values, the method of work and the importance of creating a supportive environment for students with a focus on exerting efforts to achieve quality and excellence, build identity and reflect the positive image of the Faculty. Furthermore, she encouraged students to participate in extracurricular activities and to integrate in the University environment. She advised them to take an active role in the learning process and to benefit from opportunities that are necessary for development and growth as an effective member of society. The heads of the departments and the rapporteurs of the various committees at the Faculty discussed the new study plan of the Nursing Faculty, the practical training instructions, the exams policy, the guidance, the academically troubled students and the co-curricular activities. The Director of the Guidance & Special Education Center gave the students an overview about the services provided by the Center and the different means of communication as well.
