The AAU Dean of the Faculty of Information Technology Meets With the New Students

Based on the importance of establishing communication between the AAU Faculty of Information Technology and its students, Dr. Omar Al-Adwan, the Dean of the Faclty of Information Technology, met with the new students registered for the first semester of the academic year 2020-2021. This meeting, which was attended by the Vice Dean, Heads of Departments and a number of faculty members, was held via the Microsoft Teams platform. At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Al-Adwan welcomed the new students and congratulated them on their success and their choice of Al-Ahliyya Amman University in general and the Faculty of Information Technology in particular to pursue their study and praised the progress that the University is witnessing. Dr. Al-Adwan also provided students with educational advices and guidance, the most important of which is the necessity of diligence in seeking knowledge and adhering to the regulations and instructions in force at the University. The Dean stressed the importance of students' contact with academic advisors via all possible means, such as email, Microsoft Teams platform or others. Moreover, he emphasized that the doors are always open for answering the students’ inquiries, whether academic or social, and that the facilities and services which the faculty offers are for students and for their benefit. The Dean encouraged students to participate in local, regional and international programming competitions due to their importance in raising the level of students and their skills and he referred to the directions of the University administration and its readiness to provide the necessary support for participating in these competitions.
