The AAU Council of Deans Makes Decisions regarding the Summer Semester of the Academic Year 2019-2020
Based on the decisions of the Higher Education Council, the AAU Council of Deans met under the presidency of Prof. Sari Hamdan and made the following decisions:First: Bachelor's Students:1. Teaching all theoretical courses offered in all faculties electronically (via distance/remotly).2. Teaching courses that require laboratories, workshops, or practical or physical applications that cannot be taught electronically (on line) shall be taught on campus and in the usual way, taking into account public health and safety conditions.3. Conducting all the exams of the university requirements and faculty requirements electronically (on line) with all necessary measures taken to ensure the integrity and credibility of the exams.4. Holding the final exams of the specialization courses in each faculty on campus and in the usual way, taking into account the public health and safety conditions, provided that the other semester works shall be evaluated electronically (on line).5. Evaluating all courses mentioned in item (2) above (semester works and final exams) on campus and in the usual way, taking into account the public health and safety conditions.6. Applying the principle of successful / failed result which is based on the student’s choice for electronically taught courses only. As for the results of courses taught on campus in the usual way, the university's marks system will be applied to them and the student is not entitled to choose the (successful / failed) result.Second: Graduate Students:1. Teaching all graduate courses on campus and all its exams are also held on campus, in the usual way.2. Holding MA theses defenses on the University campus according to the procedures of the MA student’s attendance only for the defense inside the University, in the usual way or electronically (on line). Third: Students Outside the Kingdom:1. Teaching all theoretical and practical courses electronically (remotely)2. Holding final exams electronically if students are not able to return to the Kingdom.Fourth: The Summer Semester Registration FeesThe Council of Deans decided to exempt students from the summer semester registration fees.
