The AAU Center of Consulting & Continuous Education Organizes “A Fashion Design” Workshop

The AAU Center of Consulting & Continuous Education in cooperation with the “Picasso” School for Arts organized a workshop on “Fashion Design Step by Step” which is considered the first idea of its kind in the University. This workshop which was presented by a group of experts in the fashion design and drawing area opened the door for students of the Faculty of Architecture & Design and others interested in how to design dresses step by step. At first, the Jordanian designer, Yasmine Abu Safiya drew and designed a step-by-step dress in a live show in front of the students followed by the Fashion Design Expert, Ahmad Al-A’yed who cut the cloth and tailored the dress. Meanwhile, Ahmed Al-Beheiri sewed the dress in front of the students. At the end, one of the models wore the dress and showed it to the female students who added their touches and modifications to it. The “Picasso” School offered free coupons to attend workshops in the fashion design area. Meanwhile, a number of students registered their names at the School to attend workshops and to benefit from the discounts offered by the School to the AAU students based on the agreement signed by the two parties.
