The AAU Carries out the Annual Winter Campaign

Activating the leading role of the AAU in serving the local community in Al-Balqa Governorate, students from the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences in the Faculty of Arts and Sciences carried out the annual winter campaign “The Good Is Still in Us”. This Campaign is carried out by the students registered in the National Education Course, taught by Dr. Sawsan BaderKhan, and the students registered in the Islamic Culture Course, taught by Dr. Asmaa Al-Omari, in cooperation with the AAU Deanship of Student Affairs on Tuesday, 12/12/2017. This campaign provided in-kind donations for winter such as heaters, blankets and winter clothes as well as children toys. The students who participated in the campaign distributed these donations to a large group of chaste families in Al-Baqaa area and Al-Salt villages in Al-Balqa Governorate. They also distributed some of these donations to workers of assistance services in the University in recognition of their role in preserving the University environment. The donations of this campaign had the greatest impact in bringing joy to the hearts of the beneficiary families as it helps them in preparing for winter. The active participation of the students in this campaign strengthens the positive values they learn in these courses and applies them practically on ground. This also leads to develop their sense of social responsibility towards others and to improve their national spirit and their belonging to the community at large.
