The AAU Achieves the Second Place in the Umniah Five Side Football Championship

The AAU Football Team was placed second in the Umniah Championship. They actually lost 3-1 when they played against the team of Al-Tafila Technical University in the final match. This event took place at the University Stadium on Sunday, 12/11/2017. During this championship, the AAU team had beaten Al-Albait University team 3-0 and scored with a positive draw 1-1 against the University of Jordan team in the semi-finals on penalty shootout which happened at the end of the original time of the match. The following eight Jordanian universities participated in the finals of the Umniah Championship: (Al-Ahliyya Amman University, the University of Jordan, the Muta University, Al-Tafila Technical University, Al-Hussein Bin Talal University, Al-Yarmouk University, the German-Jordanian University and Al-Albait University).In the closing ceremony which was held on Monday, 13/11/2017 in the Arena Complex, Mr. Zaid Ibrahim, the Head of Marketing at the Umniah Company and the AAU President, Prof. Sadeq Hamed awarded the top four teams.
