Students of the Nursing Faculty at Al-Ahliyya Amman University gives back to the community in Ain Al Basha

On the World Diabetes Day, with the belief of the Faculty of Nursing at Al-Ahliyya Amman University in the importance of highlighting health issues and contributing in spreading community awareness, the nursing students took an initiative with Ain Al Basha Health Center. The initiative took place on-site of the center, for a duration of two weeks, which included conducting random samples for the patients’ with blood pressure and diabetes diseases, where one-hundred participants were examined on the first day. At the end of the two weeks, a detailed report was prepared with demographic information showing number of infected people with the purpose of placing data and statistics for decision makers in the health care spectrum to take necessary measures and actions to what they see fit regarding the promotion and development of services in this area.
