Students from the Faculty of Architecture and Design Win First Place in the "Story of Resilience" Heritage Competition in Al-Salt
Students from the Faculty of Architecture and Design at Amman Al-Ahliyya University won first place in the "Story of Resilience" Heritage Competition, held in the city of Al-Salt from October 14 to 21, 2025. The competition was organized through a partnership between the Hashemite University and the University of Bath, under the evaluation of an international panel of judges, with the participation of 11 public and private Jordanian universities.
The Faculty's participation was represented by a multidisciplinary student team drawn from four academic programs, demonstrating the students' ability to apply their learning outcomes in practice while meeting high national and international competitive standards.
As part of the competition, participants conducted field visits to selected heritage sites, analyzed their architectural characteristics and historical narratives, and developed visual and interactive proposals aimed at strengthening the city's cultural heritage and preserving its place within Jordan's national identity.
This achievement reflects the effectiveness of the Faculty's academic approach and its commitment to fostering an educational environment that encourages innovation, critical thinking, and interdisciplinary collaboration. It also aligns with Amman Al-Ahliyya University's vision of strengthening its presence in creative competitions while keeping pace with global trends in quality education, learning, and innovation.
The project was carried out under the direct supervision of the Faculty's Deanship and was academically supervised by Engineer Safaa Al-Kufuf from the Department of Digital Architecture Engineering. The winning team consisted of:
