Students from the College of Culinary Arts and Hospitality at Amman University achieve gold and bronze in the Jordan Cup of Cooking

In the first season of the Jordan Cup of Cooking, held at the Kitchen Expo in the Exhibition Hall of Mecca Mall, and under the sponsorship of the Minister of Industry and Trade, His Excellency Mr. Youssef Al-Shamali, and organized by the Jordanian Chefs Association, student Sherine Al-Dabbas won the Jordan Cup and the gold medal in the category of preparing cold Arabic appetizers. Additionally, student Sara Abu Saleh won the bronze medal in the category of preparing the traditional dish "Rashoof" and "Majalla". This marks the first appearance of the students from the College of Culinary Arts and Hospitality at Amman University, which was established in 2021, and they have showcased their skills and creativity in competing against a group of highly competent and experienced chefs from international hotels. This achievement reflects the university's vision to become a global smart university with a sustainable knowledge environment that supports innovation. It is a result of the efforts and perseverance of the students and their trainers, Chef Khaled Al-Suwaiti, Chef Maisa Hasiba, and Chef Maryam Al-Rousan. These competitions have reached a high level of transparency in judging and organization due to the active participation of the Jordanian Chefs Association in international and regional competitions, as well as their active role in the World Association of Chefs Societies. The competitions have received continuous monitoring and attention from the association's board of directors, led by Chef Faraj Al-Khatib.
