Sofia University Honors AAU on the Occasion of Sofia University's 130th Anniversary of its founding*

The President of Sofia University in Bulgaria invited AAU to participate in its celebrations on the occasion of the 130th anniversary of its founding. In response to this invitation, the AAU President, Prof. Sari Hamdan, attended the grand ceremony of Sofia University, which was held under the auspices of the President of Bulgaria and his wife in the presence of university presidents from several countries. At the beginning, the master of the ceremony welcomed the presidents of the participating universities including AAU. Then he honored AAU represented by its President, Prof. Sari Hamdan, who in turn handed the president of Sofia University the AAU shield and a souvenir gift bearing the university's logo. It is noteworthy that a memorandum of understanding was signed between the AAU and Sofia University a while ago and it was agreed to activate the memorandum in the scientific research field and other scientific fields.
