Signing a Cooperation Agreement between Princess Sumaya University for Technology and Al-Ahliyya Amman University to Establish Cisco Academy
Al-Ahliyya Amman University and Princess Sumaya University for Technology signed a cooperation agreement for the establishment of Cisco Global Academy in Al-Ahliyya Amman University. This coincides with offering a new major at the University; “Networks and Information Security” at the Faculty of Information Technology. The agreement was signed for Al-Ahliyya Amman University by Prof. Dr. Sadeq Hamed, for Princess Sumaya University for Technology by its Acting President Prof. Dr. Mashhour Rifai, and by Ms. Nevin Qadi, Cisco Regional Director. The Academy will conduct training courses on the curricula of networks engineering at the Faculty of Engineering, and on networks and information security at the Faculty of Information Technology, in addition to providing a range of specialized training courses on network security. These courses will be incorporated in the subjects of these majors. Princess Sumaya University for Technology will provide substantive and technical support and training. The agreement was signed in presence of Mr. Mohammed Junaini, Director of Academies in Cisco, Dr. Ali Al-Hajj, Head of the Department of Computer Engineering at Princess Sumaya University for Technology, and Eng. Ashraf Sabha, Head of Computer Department, and in presence of Dean of the Faculty of Information Technology in Al-Ahliyya Amman University, Dr. Khalid Al-Jubouri.
