Seventh Scientific Forum on the Integration of People with Disabilities Held at the Dead Sea
Invited by the "Let’s Learn Together Academy for Vocational and Technical Education and Training," in cooperation with Greater Amman Municipality and the Health Call Association, the seventh scientific forum on the integration of people with disabilities was held at the Grand East Hotel at the Dead Sea. The forum included presentations of working papers, discussions, and meaningful dialogues on the topic of integrating children with disabilities into educational institutions. The discussions also featured practical experiences shared by a group of inclusive school principals and employees from government departments and private institutions.
AAU’s participation focused on the presentation by Dr. Anan Abu Mariam, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Educational Sciences for Academic Affairs, discussing the human rights approach in dealing with disability issues and the right to appropriate education. He also emphasized the need to include integration programs in the policies of relevant ministries. The discussion covered programs for people with disabilities and ways to remove both psychological and physical barriers hindering their full integration into government institutions.
This participation reflects the Faculty of Educational Sciences at AAU’s commitment to actively engaging in national events aimed at building bridges of cooperation with the surrounding academic community.
