Scientific lecture within the Private Sector Project for Women's Health (PSP) at Al-Ahliyya Amman University

In order to translate the terms of the cooperation agreement between Al-Ahliyya Amman University and the Private Sector Project for Women's Health (PSP), funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), which aims to improve the health of women and families in Jordan, and in pursuit of the University philosophy, vision and mission aimed at developing the personal, academic, and practical skills and capabilities of students in order to bridge the gap between the academic life of students on the one hand, and work life and the labor market on the other, on Thursday, 25/3/2010, the Faculty of Pharmacy and Medical Sciences, in collaboration with King Abdullah II Fund and PSP, hosted a lecture titled “The role of pharmacists in providing counseling in family planning”. The lecture was delivered by Dr. Lien Ottai, Obstetrics and Gynecology Specialist, in the presence of a large gathering of students, graduates and the number of faculty members at the Faculty. This project is based on an integrative methodology to increase the demand for modern methods of family planning and services related to women's health, and enhance health care services to improve the efficiency of medical services. Al-Ahliyya Amman University was chosen to be the first university to conduct these courses, in view of the University prestigious position and advanced academic reputation and methodology.
