Scientific Lecture at Al-Ahliyya Amman University within Private Sector Project for Women's Health
Within efforts to translate the terms of the cooperation agreement between Amman Al-Ahliyya Amman University and the Private Sector Project (PSP) for Women's Health, funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), which aims to improve the health of Jordanian women and families, in compliance with the directions of the University related to the development of the personal, academic and practical skills and abilities of students, and in order to bridge the gap between the academic and practical abilities of students according to the labor market requirements, the Faculty of Pharmacy and Medical Sciences, in collaboration with King Abdullah II Fund and PSP, organized a lecture on Thursday 13/1/2011 titled: “The role of Pharmacists in Providing Family Planning Counseling”. The lecture was delivered by Dr. Mazen Zibda, Obstetrics and Gynecology Consultant, in the presence of a large gathering of students, graduates and faculty members at the Faculty. This project is based on an integrative methodology to increase the demand for modern methods of family planning and services related to women's health, and increase health care services to improve the efficiency of medical services. Al-Ahliyya Amman University was chosen to be the first university to conduct these courses, due to its advanced position, academic reputation and remarkable methodology.
