Researchers from AAU Among the Top 2% of Researchers Worldwide
A number of researchers from our AAU have been ranked among the top 2% of researchers worldwide in terms of citations for their research, according to a study by Stanford University for the year 2024. This ranking is released annually based on a study conducted by a group of scholars at the prestigious Stanford University and is known in academic circles as the "Stanford Ranking."
The distinguished researchers are: Dean of Scientific Research, Prof. Ahmed Abu Orabi; Prof. Qussai Shambour from the Faculty of Information Technology; Prof. Manal Al-Abbas from the Faculty of Allied Medical Sciences; and Dr. Ibrahim Al-Assi from the Faculty of Engineering.
The update includes data on lifetime impact as well as the impact for the past year only (2023). The list includes researchers who rank within the top 100,000 researchers according to the C-index, or within the top 2% in their respective subfields.
This achievement reflects Al-Ahliyya Amman University's standing in the field of scientific research and reaffirms its commitment to advancing academic research's role in both local and global communities.
