Renewing the Partnership Agreement between Umniah and Al-Hourani Group

The Umniah Company and the Jordanian Investment Company Al-Hourani Group announced the renewal of the Partnership Agreement for three additional years in a press conference on Tuesday 29/11/2016 at the Holiday Inn Hotel. According to this agreement, the Umniah Company will be the sole exclusive provider for mobile services and high-speed internet to all the groups of the companies.The Chief Executive of the Umniah, Eng. Ziad Shatara, expressed his pride in the partnership with Al-Hourani Group and praised the role played by the Group in the development of the local community economically and touristic in general and educationally in particular. He added that Al-Ahliyya Amman University is considered a prominent educational monument that contributes significantly in developing the University educational outcomes and enriching the local market. He also noted the role of the Umniah Company in supporting students, the local community and the progress that the company has achieved in the quality of its diverse services.The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Jordanian Investment Company, Dr. Maher Al-Hourani, emphasized the important role that the Umniah Company plays in providing technical solutions and innovative services in the telecommunications sector. He added that the services of the Umniah Company meet various needs of the group and that the partnership between the Umniah Company and Al-Hourani Group is a strategic partnership and mutually beneficial.The President of Al-Ahliyya Amman University, Prof. Sadiq Hamid, stated that this agreement signals the renewal of trust between the Umniah Company and Al-Ahliyya Amman University as a part of Al-Hourani Group. He referred to the constructive cooperation between the two parties in training students and guiding the scientific research of students and instructors particularly in the engineering field of Communications. Actually, Telecommunications Engineering is an available specialization in the University at the Bachelor and Masters levels.The Umniah Company will provide services to Al-Ahliyya Amman University which is owned by Al-Hourani Group including cloud service in addition to supporting the Arena Club, and providing a fully equipped scientific laboratory and the establishment of business incubator in collaboration with the University.The University also will grant two scholarships for the Umniah Company, and will offer 30% discount on tuition for the ten students selected by the company, in return, Umniah will provide a specialized technical training for 20 students of Al-Ahliyya Amman University.The employees of the Umniah Company will have discounts in all the hotel facilities of the Group, including the Holiday Inn and the Arena Space.At the end of the press conference, journalists colleagues and Gentlemen's questions were answered by Dr. Maher Alhourani, Prof. Sadeq Hamed & Eng.
