Renewing the Cooperation Agreement Between Jordan News Agency and Al-Ahliyya Amman University

The Jordan News Agency (Petra) renewed a program of joint cooperation with Al-Ahliyya Amman University to strengthen the partnership and the exchange of expertise and services between the two parties. The agreement was signed at the University by the General Director of the Jordan News Agency (Petra), Faisal Shboul, and the President of Al-Ahliyya Amman University, Prof. Sadiq Hamed.According to the agreement, the Jordan News Agency provides a comprehensive journalism courses for free, technical and editorial publications regarding media publications issued by the university. It also covers the activities, events, news and the scientific research of the Faculty members of the Al-Ahliyya Amman University.The University offers scholarships and discounts once a year. In addition, it provides a 20 percent discount for the sons of the workers at the Jordan News Agency in various stages of education and in all programs and specializations for the duration of the study.The University plans to invite the Jordan News Agency to participate in courses related to languages, humanities, administration, accounting and finance for free. Al Shboul highlighted the importance of this program, which seeks to strengthen the relationship with Al-Ahliyya Amman University and to spot the light on its achievements and distinctive reputation. On his part Prof. Sadiq Hamed said that the cooperation program with the Jordan News Agency tightens the bonds of relationship, support participations and meetings between the two parties. He elaborated on the importance of cooperation between the media and academic institutions and he expressed his pride in this partnership.
