Renewal of Partnership Between AAU and Jordan News Agency (Petra)

AAU and Jordan News Agency (Petra) renewed their collaborative program with the aim of enhancing cooperation and coordination in common areas and providing field training services for students in various fields. The program was signed by the university's president, Professor Sari Hamdan, and Petra's Director-General, Ms. Fairouz Mubaideen, in the presence of the Vice President for International Relations and Quality Affairs, Professor Anas Al-Soud, the Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Professor Hanan Ibrahim, and Dr. Rami Al-Amir, the Head of the Public Relations Department at Petra. The five-year program includes the university granting scholarships to employees and their children at Petra, along with financial discounts for bachelor's and master's degrees. Petra will, in turn, offer field training services for students in the English language and translation department and carry out joint activities, including workshops and scientific seminars in the fields of journalism and media. Professor Hamdan provided an overview of the university, its faculties, and its ranking, highlighting its third-place position in local rankings and first among private universities, as well as its 801st position globally among 30,000 universities worldwide, according to the QS World University Rankings. He emphasized the university's role in graduating generations with a high level of responsibility and distinguished knowledge. Ms. Mubaideen affirmed Petra's commitment to creating strategic partnerships with various national institutions and emphasized the importance of investing in journalistic and media competencies and experiences. She stated that this collaboration reflects Petra's commitment to supporting education and providing educational and training opportunities for university students, contributing to building and developing the nation.
