Refreshing Sprint Championship for Al-Ahliyya Amman University Students
In order to refine the talents of students and invest their leisure time in useful sports activities, the Deanship of Student Affairs/Division of Sports Activity in Al-Ahliyya Amman University organized a refreshing 100 m sprint championship. The championship aims to urge students to participate in extracurricular activities, promote sportsmanship, and discover new talents. This championship helped raising awareness of sports and recognizing the sound educational dimension of sports competitions among students.A large number of the University students participated in the championship, which was admired by the audience and encouraged them to participate in such competitions. Student Wisam Ghanem of the Faculty of Architecture and Design came at first position, student Mohammed Mutee’ of the Faculty of Administrative Sciences came second, and student Moussa Ali of the Faculty of Pharmacy and Medical Sciences came third in men sprint championship. Student Dania Khleifat of the Faculty of Architecture and Design came first, student Nora Al-Fayez of the Faculty of Pharmacy and Medical Sciences came second, and student Juliet Saliba of the Faculty of Pharmacy came third in women sprint championship. At the end of the championship, gold, silver, and bronze medals were given to the winners.
