Quality Culture Workshop at Al-Ahliyya Amman University

Within the policy of the Academic and Management Development Centre at Al-Ahliyya Amman University aimed at academic and administrative development, the Center held a workshop entitled “Quality Culture” on Monday, 26/7/2010. Dr. Nidal Al-Salihi, Director of the Center, presented an introduction to the workshop. Dr. Fawaz Al-Karmi talked about the respective roles of deans, heads of department and Quality Assurance Board and Committees in the University and the expected outputs of achieving quality and quality assurance requirements. Dr Maher Sharbajee addressed how to set up and approve policies and procedures and gave examples of criteria I and II. Dr. Kinza Mansour tackled self-assessment and continuous improvement. The workshop was attended by deans, directors of departments, heads of departments, faculty members, and members of the quality assurance committees at the University. At the end of the workshop, the speakers responded to the inquiries raised by the audience.
