Professor Sari Hamdan Meets with New and Long-Standing Faculty Members

Our University President, Prof. Sari Hamdan, met with both new and long-standing faculty members, in the presence of Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, Prof. Ahmad Hamdan; President's Advisor and Dean of Graduate Studies, Prof. Hadeel Yaseen; Dean of Scientific Research, Prof. Ahmad Abu Orabi; Assistant to the President for Accreditation, Quality, and Planning, and Director of the Human Resources and Institutional Development Unit, Dr. Eyad Shaaban. Prof. Sari Hamdan congratulated the new faculty members, wishing them success and encouraging them to actively contribute to enhancing the quality of the educational process, research, and community service. He emphasized the university’s pride in welcoming distinguished faculty members to its academic staff. Professor Hamdan also discussed the university’s vision and goals for developing a stimulating educational environment for students and faculty members by introducing new and unique specializations that meet the needs of the local, regional, and international job markets. Prof. Hamdan highlighted that the university has achieved advanced positions in global and local rankings, thanks to the efforts of both academic and administrative staff and the continuous support from the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Dr. Maher Hourani, and his deputy, Mr. Omar Hourani. These achievements have reinforced the university’s status as a leading educational center globally. Presidential Advisor and Dean of Graduate Studies, Prof. Hadeel Yaseen, affirmed that supporting scientific research is a key step toward achieving academic excellence at the university. Dean of Scientific Research, Prof. Ahmad Abu Orabi, emphasized the importance of continuing scientific research, which is the cornerstone for local and international accreditations and rankings. He reiterated that the Deanship of Scientific Research remains committed to advancing research to meet future aspirations and challenges. Dr. Eyad noted that the university implements an integrated quality management system based on the standards of the Higher Education Accreditation Commission and the ISO (9001) quality management system. This supports the university's participation in global rankings and helps faculties and programs obtain international accreditations. He also highlighted the university's commitment to applying accreditation standards at the general, program, and specialization levels to meet market demands in Jordan and the region. Additionally, he mentioned the successful integration of most of the university's programs and specializations within the National Qualifications Framework, with work ongoing to complete the remaining specializations. Dr. Shaaban stressed that these achievements would not have been possible without the direct guidance of the university's leadership, represented by the President, and the support of the Board of Directors, as well as the collaboration of deans and the teamwork spirit across faculties, departments, and centers. The new faculty members expressed their gratitude to the President for the opportunity to meet, share their feedback, suggestions, and inquiries, which Prof. Hamdan addressed with transparency and clarity.
