Prof. Sari Hamdan Participates in the 57th General Conference of the Association of Arab Universities in Kuwait
Prof. Sari Hamdan, President of Al-Ahliyya Amman University, participated in the 57th General Conference of the Association of Arab Universities, hosted by The International University in Kuwait, under the theme: "Promoting Regional Integration and Digital Transformation in Arab Higher Education."
Prof. Barakat Awad Al-Hudhaiban, Chairman of the Board of Trustees at The International University, expressed his pride in hosting this prominent academic event, which serves as a key platform for university presidents across the Arab world to exchange perspectives on the future of higher education in the region. He also praised the continued support of Kuwait’s wise leadership in advancing education and developing human capital in the Arab world.
In his remarks, Prof. Sari Hamdan emphasized that Al-Ahliyya Amman University's participation reflects its steadfast commitment to supporting regional initiatives aimed at advancing higher education and strengthening cooperation among Arab universities. He highlighted the conference as a strategic opportunity to explore mechanisms for digital transformation, expand the use of artificial intelligence in education, and enhance the quality of academic programs in line with labor market needs.
He further noted that Al-Ahliyya Amman University, as the first private university in Jordan, continues to pursue excellence through developmental strategies focused on innovation and the promotion of scientific research. He stressed the importance of unified Arab efforts to elevate the efficiency of education and align its outcomes with the demands of sustainable development in Arab countries.
At the conclusion of the event, Prof. Sari Hamdan presented Al-Ahliyya Amman University’s commemorative shield to H.E. Prof. Barakat Awad Al-Hudhaiban, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of The International University, and to H.E. Prof. Dr. Amr Ezzat Salama, Secretary-General of the Association of Arab Universities, in appreciation of their efforts and support for the advancement of higher education.
The conference brought together representatives from over 250 Arab universities, aiming to promote regional integration, facilitate the exchange of academic expertise, and address the major challenges facing higher education institutions amid rapid technological changes.
