Prof. Sadeq Hamid, President of Al-Ahliyya Amman University, meets members of State Prize for Children's Literature
Prof. Sadeq Hamid, President of Al-Ahliyya Amman University met in his office members of the Qatari State Prize for Children's Literature committee in the presence of Prof. Mohammed Al-Baldawi, of the Faculty of Architecture and Design at Al-Ahliyya Amman University. Prof. Al-Baldawi was chosen by the Qatari Ministry of Culture, Arts and Heritage as general coordinator of the Qatari State Prize for Children's Literature in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. The two parties discussed the possibility of expanding the participation by the Iraqi writers and artists at the sixth session, in view of the importance of this annual literary activity at the Arab and international cultural level. The Qatari State Prize for Children's Literature, since its launch in 2008, was able to establish a tradition at the level of child culture and has acquired a remarkable intellectual and literary reputation. A large numbers of participants literary compete in the fields of the Prize every year, including artists, writers or intellectuals from across the Arab world. The State Prize for Children's Literature has miscellaneous activities, is marked by authenticity and seriousness, and derives its features from the Arab-Islamic culture. The Prize determines the forms of creativity for the children and seeks to be a distinguished landmark for innovation among childhood awards not only in the Arab world but also at the world level. At the end of the meeting, the head of the delegation presented a trophy to the President of the University.
