Prof. Dr. Sari Hamdan Selected as a Member of the Development Committee of the International Handball Federation

The President of Al-Ahliyya Amman University and the Sports Federation of Jordanian Universities, Professor Dr. Sari Hamdan, were selected by the International Handball Federation as a member of the Development Committee of the Federation, which defines the full programs that aim to develop the game in all countries of the world.Dr. Sari's selection came due to the backdrop of his extensive experience in the field of sports, specifically in handball, where he has previously worked on many committees of the International Federation, contributed to the development of special programs to advance the game, participated in many courses held by the International Federation, and lectured in many courses and workshops.Dr. Sari Hamdan has previously served on the AFC Board of Directors and the Executive Office, in addition to chairing more than one committee and being elected in late 2021 as AFC Deputy to the President Sheikh Ahmed Al Fahd.At the Arab level, Hamdan has served on the Board of Directors of the Federation and chaired several committees and played a major role in the success of the federation’s programs and activities due to his extensive experience and close relations with all Arab, Asian and international federations.Dr. Sari also chaired the Jordanian Handball Federation for more than 25 years through which he succeeded in developing the entire game system, and during his reign the Jordanian teams achieved great victories, most notably was winning the bronze medal for the Jordanian men's and women's team in the Arab sports tournament held in Amman in 1999.Dr. Sari is currently President of Al-Ahliyya Amman University, President of the Sports Federation of Jordanian Universities, Vice President of the Arab Federation of University Sports, and Vice President of the Asian Handball Federation, as well as Vice-President of the Jordanian Olympic Committee.
