Princess Sumaya bint Hassan Opens the 9th National Technology Festival Ceremony 2016 at Al-Ahliyya Amman University

Princess Sumaya Bint Al-Hassan sponsored the opening ceremony of the 9th national technology festival 2016, which was held at Al-Ahliyya Amman University, in the presence of Prof. Sadeq Hamed, the University President, other faculties’ deans, and a number of presidents of Jordanian Universities in addition to the participating students and their supervisors (academic staff) from different public and private universities. Her Royal Highness praised the festival, the organizers, and the applied research projects that have been presented by students with the competition spirit between them; her Highness added: “Those activities are just to enhance the youth’s sector to participate in the events of Applied and technology research”. The President said in his welcoming speech, “Al-Ahliyya Amman University is holding these activities of the 9th festival believing the importance of supporting and encouraging the applied and technology research, and the need to provide unlimited support to our youth and guide them in a proper way. It is worth mentioning that the festival included nine applied topics which have obtained more than 70 projects presented by students from different universities. The Judges have evaluated different projects after sorting them in order to announce the winners for each topic, where 27 projects won the festival prizes spread over the first, second, and third ranks. The festival of distributing prizes and appreciation certificates will be held on Monday 16/05/2016 in the Nizar Qabbani Auditorium at 12:00 Noon.
