President of our university Honors the University Team for Winning Third Place in the FinTech Rally Competition
Professor Sari Hamdan, President of AAU, honored a group of university students and their supervisors in recognition of their third-place win in the FinTech Rally competition, organized by the Jordanian Company for Payment and Clearing Systems (JOPACC). The competition featured 30 teams from 11 Jordanian universities and brought together the top young talents in the fields of financial technology and innovation.
Professor Mohammad Al-Qatawneh, Dean of the Faculty of Information Technology, as well as the honored supervisors, attended the honoring ceremony: Dr. Ahmad Al-Shamayleh from the Faculty of Information Technology, Dr. Maha Shahadeh from the Faculty of Business, and Dr. Wasan Al-Amro from the Faculty of Engineering.
The winning team from Al-Ahliyya Amman University included five outstanding students from various faculties:
• Shaker Hisham Al-Ghunaimi, Yamen Hasan Shatat, and Abdullah Zain Al-Abideen from the Faculty of Information Technology
• Karam Ayham Mansour Basioni from the Faculty of Engineering
• Hamzeh Mohammad Saeed Ballour from the Faculty of Business
The University’s President praised the great efforts made by the students and supervisors, emphasizing the university’s ongoing commitment to supporting entrepreneurial initiatives and participating in competitive platforms that enhance students' readiness for the job market.
It is worth noting that teams from the following universities also participated in the competition:
The University of Jordan, German Jordanian University, Hashemite University, Tafila Technical University, Al-Hussein Technical University, Princess Sumaya University for Technology, Applied Science University, Yarmouk University, Middle East University and Philadelphia University
