President of Al-Ahliyya Amman University receives the new Iraqi cultural advisor

Dr. Sadeq Hamed, President of Al-Ahliyya Amman University, received in his office Dr. Abbas Al-Husseini, the cultural advisor at the Iraqi Embassy, on the occasion of his assumption of his new office. At the beginning of the meeting, Prof. Hamed welcomed the cultural adviser and thanked him for his visit to the University on assuming his duties. During the meeting, the parties addressed the distinguished relations between the two countries. Prof. Hamed stressed that the University is keen to strengthen its relations with all the cultural attaché in general and the Iraqi attaché in particular, especially in the academic and research fields and cultural exchange. Prof. Hamed presented a detailed demonstration about the University activities and programs. He also reviewed the University's strategy in promoting and improving the educational process and scientific research. The parties also discussed the conditions of Iraqi students and the services provided by the University to students in general and to the Iraqi students in particular. Prof. Sadeq confirmed that the Iraqi students are distinguished in terms of academic achievements and conduct, and have excellent relationship with their colleagues, which is in line with the remarkable relationship between Iraq and Jordan. He expressed his pride in the Iraqi students enrolled in the University.For his part, Dr. Husseini praised the higher education level in Jordan. He stressed that the public and private Jordanian universities are directly concerned with raising the level of performance of the members of the academic and administrative bodies, which have the greatest impact on the efficiency of the educational process outputs and their compatibility with the labor market requirements across all Arab countries. He noted that higher education is remarkably developed in Jordan. Iraqi students are keen to acquire their degrees from Jordanian universities, particularly from Al-Ahliyya Amman University, which strives to develop its plans and programs on an ongoing basis, he added. He hailed the outstanding academic level of the University and its role in serving the students in general, and the Iraqi students in particular. At the end of the meeting, Dr. Husseini thanked the President of the University for his warm reception and the outstanding management of the University affairs. He praised the efforts of the President of the University in serving the students and overcoming the difficulties they face. In turn, Prof. Sadeq thanked Dr. Husseini and wished him success in his new office. The meeting was attended by Dr. Mamoun Al-Dabai, Vice President of the University, Dr. Mohammed Al-Baldawi, the representative of the Iraqi community in the University, and Mrs. Inas Al-Hourani, Director of Public and International Relations Department.
