President of Al-Ahliyya Amman University Receives the Flag of the National Technology Festival 2026
Professor Sari Hamdan, President of Al-Ahliyya Amman University, received the official flag of the National Technology Festival 2026 during the closing ceremony of the festival’s 12th edition, hosted by Al-Hussein Technical University.
The handover ceremony took place in the presence of a large audience of participating students from various Jordanian universities. Prof. Ismail Al-Hinti, President of Al-Hussein Technical University, formally passed the flag to Prof. Hamdan, signaling the transfer of hosting responsibilities for the 13th edition of the festival to Al-Ahliyya Amman University.
In his remarks, Prof. Sari Hamdan expressed his pride in Al-Ahliyya Amman University’s upcoming role as host of the next edition, affirming the university’s commitment to fostering a culture of creativity and innovation. He highlighted the importance of offering students opportunities to showcase their projects in fields such as technology, engineering, and artificial intelligence, as part of the university’s mission to support academic excellence and promote youth entrepreneurship.
He added that the university aspires to organize a festival worthy of the status of Jordanian higher education, aligned with global advancements in technology and digitization, through impactful programming and effective partnerships with relevant sectors.
For his part, Prof. Ismail Al-Hinti praised the success of the current edition of the festival, which saw strong participation from the majority of Jordanian universities. He commended the high quality of student projects and emphasized that the festival has become a vital national platform for exchanging ideas and encouraging young minds to innovate and create.
The National Technology Festival is considered one of Jordan’s most prominent annual events, aiming to spotlight student-led entrepreneurial projects in the areas of technological innovation, digital solutions, and smart applications. The festival also serves to bridge the gap between academic education and the labor market, while promoting the values of the knowledge economy and youth-driven innovation.
