President of Al-Ahliyya Amman University Participates in the Meetings of the Executive Council of the Association of Arab Universities, Session (48)

Prof. Dr. Sadiq Hamid, President of Al-Ahliyya Amman University, has participated in the meetings of the Executive Council of the Association of Arab Universities, session (48), which took place in Beirut during the period 27-30 / 12/2015.Participants of the meeting have discussed the agenda prepared by the General Secretariat of the Association including the activities of the General Secretariat after session (48) of the General Conference. They also discussed the reports of University committees and examined the applications for membership of the Association and the outcomes of the seminars and scientific conferences approved by the General Conference of the Association.In addition, they discussed the General Secretariat Memorandum on the meeting of the Association’s institutions, as well as the report of the Secretariat of the Council of Quality Assurance and Accreditation on granting the certificate of the Arab Quality of the Academic Programs, and the Association of Arab Archaeologists request to join the Association of Arab Universities.The Council also discussed the memorandum of Fayoum University in the Arab Republic of Egypt on the establishment of an Association for Deanships and Colleges of Students Affairs of Arab universities, in addition to a memorandum of the Middle East University on the Arab TANAL Draft.It is worth mentioning that this annual meeting is of great importance in terms of education and academic research, where it grants the education leaders the opportunity to exchange opinions and advice on the most important challenges and issues that face the Arab Universities, noting that the Executive Council of the Association of Arab Universities is the second senior body after the General Conference and it works on discussing the agenda prepared by the General Secretariat to be submitted to the General Conference of the Association at the next session, which will be held in the United Arab Emirates.
