President of Al-Ahliyya Amman University meets new faculty members

On Thursday morning, 16/9/2021, Dr. Sari Hamdan, President of Al-Ahliyya Amman University, met with new faculty members who will start teaching their various courses at the beginning of the first semester of the 2021-2022 academic year.The meeting, organized by the Department of Public and International Relations, and in collaboration with Al Hourani Center for E-Learning and Integrated Education, began with the national anthem followed by a speech by Dr. Sari Hamdan, during which he welcomed the new faculty members. Dr. Hamdan talked about the university's vision and its quest for excellence, noting that the University has received several international accreditations, including, but not limited to, the international accreditation ASIC by the English Department, the AACSB by the School of Business, ACPE by the College of Pharmacy, and ABET by the faculty of Engineering and the faculty of Information Technology. In addition, AAU has achieved advanced positions in the QS rating of Arab universities and obtained a five-star rating in QS for e-learning, as well as advanced positions in the Times classification.Dr. Hamdan stressed that the interruption of students' face-to-face learning for almost two years, which affected their personalities and academic performance, should be taken into consideration, and should thus, be accounted for. He also reiterated the need to maintain the distance between professors and students and reaffirmed the university's priority to publish scientific research that is applicable and globally disseminated.The meeting ended with a tour by the faculty members around the university to familiarize them with its facilities, laboratories, and auditoriums. The program will continue in the coming days with several lectures on the reality of scientific research at the university, in addition to a lecture on international classifications and the basics of writing scientific research, and will conclude with a tour for the faculty members to obtain their required permits and health insurance.
